  • IT'S crunch time at Sixways this afternoon as Warriors look to get their Aviva Premiership campaign back on track when they host Northampton Saints (3pm).
  • Worcester suffered a demoralising 32-9 defeat at Bath last weekend, while Saints were stuffed 27-11 at home by Gloucester, so both teams will be desperate for a win today.

5:06pm

Just waiting for Richard Hill to come to the post-match press conference. Will be interesting to hear what he made of that and Worcester's form in general.

Give or take the odd spelling mistake, it seems pretty clear what Warriors' fans think of that.

Worcester Lad says

Get the score right .

I did in the end, little bit hectic here!

4:52pm

4:51pm

Not sure this is what the club would like to hear from the club captain's partner, but she's not on her own in thinking that.

4:49pm

Just corrected the score below, apologies if any Warriors fans though Worcester had won 27-18. You should have known better anyway...!

4:48pm

I'm pretty sure there were more than a few boos ringing out around Sixways at the final whistle. Fans are NOT happy....

4:47pm

There were some bright spells in attack from Warriors today, but the way they were out-muscled up front will be of huge concern to Richard Hill.

Worcester's complete failure to counter Saints' powerful line-out drive was the difference between the two sides.

4:46pm

Four league defeats on the spin for Warriors, who end up empty-handed at home.

A real air of doom and gloom at Sixways these days, something has to change.

4:45pm

Saints expertly control the ball through the tight phases to run the clock down, before Myler kicks it out to bring the final whistle.

FINAL SCORE: Warriors 18-27 Saints

4:41pm

Warriors look desperately to attack, but are penalised for going off their feet.

4:40pm

With just under four minutes to go, Warriors fans are streaming out of Sixways.

Neil Best is back in the game.

4:39pm

Myler knocks over the simple conversion.

Warriors 25-18

4:39pm

Very harsh. Warriors are driven back and referee Garner has no hesitation in going under the posts to award a penalty try.

4:38pm

Warriors penalised for pulling down in the line-out, but that also looked like a tough call.

Myler opts to go for touch, which is probably the right call given Saints line-out dominance.

4:35pm

Myler kicks into space for winger Jamie Elliot to chase, Claassens tackles and the Saints man knocks-on. Warriors need a big scrum here.

4:33pm

Warriors back within two points as Goode knocks over a penalty from around 45 metres. 10 minutes to go...

4:31pm

A glimmer of hope for Warriors as Myler slices his conversion attempt across goal.

Warriors 15-20 Saints

4:29pm

That could well be a killer blow. Saints go to the corner with the penalty and drive the line-out over the line. Samu Manoa is awarded the try.

4:29pm

Saints look to use their strong line-out drive again, Neil Best intervenes illegally and is sent to the bin. Huge moment.

4:27pm

Myler's effort hits the left-hand post and Goode is able to scramble clear.

4:26pm

Warriors are penalised again on their own scrum put-in, definitely against Murray this time.

4:22pm

4:22pm

Another bright break from Clarke, but a tackler just manages to dislodge the ball.

4:21pm

Worcester really have to capitalise on Saints being down to 14 men...

4:21pm

Goode gathers himself from lawes' hit to stroke the ball home.

Warriuors 15-15 Saints

4:20pm

Saints lose a second player to the bin as Courtney Lawes is yellow-carded for pole-axing Andy Goode as the fly-half chipped ahead.

Penalty where the ball landed, so Goode will be in range of the posts.

4:17pm

Myler makes no mistake and Saints are ahead. How do Warriors respond now?

Warriors 12-15 Saints

4:15pm

Saints get their rolling maul going to make progress into Warriors' half, before the hosts are hit for not rolling away. myler is going for the posts to try and put Saints ahead for the first time in the match.

4:14pm

Warriors looking the more likely at the moment, but several lapses in communications between Claassens and Drauniniu have proved costly so far.

4:07pm

Superb take of the high ball by Claassens, who then breaks up to the 22. Warriors recycle quickly, but Schofield loses it forward in contact.

Warriors then attack again, but Drauniniu is penalised for holding on.

4:05pm

Looked like a high tackle on Josh Drauniniu there, but referee played on.

4:04pm

Myler finds his radar once again and levels the game.

Warriors 12-12 Saints

4:03pm

Warriors penalised on their own put-in (looked like it went against Euan Murray) and Myler has an early chance to make amends for his two late misses in the first-half.

4:02pm

Play stops while David Lemi is down and receiving treatment.

Meanwhile, Hartley returns to the action after his sin-binning.

4:00pm

No changes for Warriors at the break, Saints still down to 14 with Hartley in the bin.

Myler gets the game back under way.

3:59pm

Haha - Howard Bentham on the PA just decided the Warriors fan's half-time hit-the-bar effort was successful.

The ball actually hit half-way up the post, so not sure who will be paying for the year's supply of beer he's just won!

3:59pm

3:49pm

3:46pm

With the clock already on zero, Myler has to have a shot at goal, but the range is beyond him and Jonny Arr catches the ball and puts it out of play to bring the whistle.

Not the greatest of games, but Warriors are good value for their lead so far. We've been here before, though, can they close a game out in the second-half?

3:44pm

Warriors have a penalty reversed as Jonny Arr stamps on Mark Sorensen as he tries to free the ball with the lock lying on the wrong side.

3:42pm

Bit of a shocker from Myler, though, as he pulls a simple chance wide of the posts.

Still 12-9 to Warriors.

3:41pm

Saints drive a line-out, it goes to ground and Warriors are penalised, but it looked to me as it went down of its own accord. Still, Myler has a chance to level the scores again.

3:39pm

Phil Dowson clearly hasn't been practicing his line-out throwing. With Hartley in the bin, the openside throws in to the line-out and is promptly hit for not straight.

3:36pm

Warriors attacked from the line-out and the ball went wide via David Lemi to Josh Drauniniu, who surged to the 22 before being brought down.

Saints skipper Hartley didn't heed Garner's warning, infringes at the break-down and is yellow-carded for his efforts.

Goode misses his first shot at goal of the game, though. Still 12-9.

3:33pm

Tom May hit for not releasing Matt Kvesic in the tackle as the number eight attacks from the re-start. Referee Greg Garner has words with Saints captain Dylan Hartley and Goode finds a good touch.

3:31pm

First real spell of attacking verve from Warriors as Jon Clarke pouncs on a loose ball and frees Matt Kvesic. Worcester swarm forward and Saints are penalised for off-side and Andy Goode drills the ball home.

Warriors 12-9 Saints

3:29pm

Worcester win the line-out, but it's a messy tap-down and Warriors are penalised for handling on the floor. Saints drill the ball into Warriors territory.

3:28pm

Hurried clearance from Ben Foden as Alex Grove chases down his own grubber kick. Line-out to Warriors inside the Saints 10m line.

3:26pm

Myler strokes the ball between the posts with the minimum of fuss.

Warriors 9-9 Saints

3:25pm

From the re-start, Warriors are hit at in at the side and Myler can level the scores once more.

3:25pm

More good work on the floor by Neil Best wins a penalty against Lee Dickson, who fails to release after pouncing on the loose ball when Andy Goode charged down the scrum-half's clearance kick.

Goode makes no mistake from the tee.

Warriors 9-6Saints

3:22pm

After a brief consultation, the flags go up.

Warriors 6-6 Saints

3:21pm

Warriors penalised for off-side in midfield and Myler has an opportunity to peg it back to all-square.

3:20pm

Myler pumps a penalty to touch mid-way into Warriors' half after the hosts are penalised at the scrum.

3:18pm

Stephen Myler sends the ball high between the posts.

Warriors 6-3 Saints

3:17pm

Errie Claassens fumbles a Stephen Myler up-and-under and then Josh Drauniniu picks up the lose ball in an off-side position, so it's a chance for Saints to open their account.

3:15pm

After several re-set scrums on the Saints ball 30 metres from Warriors' line, the penalty goes against Sione Tonga'uhia and Goode launches thepenalty past the Saints 10m line.

3:12pm

3:11pm

Brilliant work over the ball from former Saints man Neil Best wins a holding on penalty and Goode clears the danger.

3:11pm

Fluid counter-attack from Saints, camped on the Warriors line now.

3:08pm

Wow, fair play! Goode unleashes his huge right boot and drills the ball through the posts from miles out!

Warriors 6-0 Saints

3:07pm

Second penalty to Warriors and Goode is having a go at goal from three metres inside his own half.

3:05pm

No mistake from Warriors' number 10.

Warriors 3-0 Saints

3:04pm

Saints infringe as Warriors look to drive the line-out and Andy Goode will have the game's first shot at goal.

3:03pm

Josh Drauniniu goes close to the game's opening score, picking up a lose pass in midfield and sprinting for the corner, but Saints scramble back and manage to clear to touch.

3:01pm

Andy Goode gets the game under way. Warriors are attacking the North Stand in the first-half.

2:59pm

The Saints players are out, here come the Warriors! Big game, can Hilly's men deliver today? Let's hope so, but it will be tough against a Saints side packed with quality players.

2:58pm

2:56pm

The cheerleaders are out and we're just over five minutes away from kick-off. The two sets of players are back in the dressing rooms to receive their final instructions.

The sun is shining, which makes a welcome change, and it should be a good day for both sides to play some attacking rugby - providing the pitch holds up.

2:24pm

2:21pm

Discipline will be key for Warriors today and, let's be fair, it's not been their strong suit so far this term.

Worcester are three clear of their nearest rivals at the top of the Aviva Premiership ill-discipline league.

Richard Hill's men are averaging one yellow card per game with 14 sin-binnings in 14 matches, which is three clear of second-placed Gloucester, while Bath have had eight yellows, but three reds.

2:17pm

Andy Goode has just ran out onto the pitch to join the warm-up. He certainly looks a bit more chipper today than he did at Bath last weekend. No vomiting so far from the fly-half...

2:09pm

2:04pm

With just under an hour to go until kick-off, here are a few Warriors articles for your perusal.

Here's the team Richard Hill announced yesterday (official team-sheet due out imminently).

Line-outs can be 'soul-destroying', says Hill.

Jon Clarke's thoughts ahead of facing his former team.

2:00pm

1:59pm

It really is a huge match for Worcester's ambitions this season here at Sixways today.

Win and Richard Hill's men still have a chance of pushing on to claim a mid-table finish; lose and they will spend the rest of the campaign nervously looking over their shoulders.

Warriors have lost their last three Aviva Premiership matches, stretching back to the 13-6 victory over London Welsh, who they visit on the final day of the season, at Sixways before Christmas.

1:56pm

The Pet Shop Boys' 'It's a sin' is ringing around Sixways. Maybe that's in tribute to Warriors' impressive collection of yellow cards this season?
