WORCESTERSHIRE County Cricket Club president Duncan Fearnley presented a brand new bat to one of the members of Worcestershire and Warwickshire Young Women’s Cricketers.

During the annual chairman’s lunch at New Road, out-going president Fearnley handed over the bat to Becky Burgess, a young cricketer playing for War-wickshire, on behalf of the British and Commonwealth Cricket Trust.

The chairman of the trust Peter Jewell, who is also one of Worcestershire’s board members, said: “It is our intention to help youth cricket as much as possible and work with Chance to Shine to that end.”
