Danny Jackman lauds Kidderminster Harriers’ fear factor
MIDFIELDER Danny Jackman believes Kidderminster Harriers have now started to instil fear among their league opponents.
Harriers head into today’s match against Ebbsfleet United at Aggborough (3pm) having won 15 of their last 17 Blue Square Bet Premier games.
They are up to second in the table and breathing down the necks of leaders Wrexham as they keep up their impressive push for promotion.
During that sequence they have played some entertaining football but also ground out results, most recently in the 1-0 victory at Nuneaton Town last Tuesday.
Worcester-born Jackman, who joined Harriers in January following his departure from League Two side Gillingham, says that success was down to the reputation Steve Burr’s side have established and he wants that to continue.
The 30-year-old ace said: “Coming into the bigger games away from home, teams are starting to fear us which is great, but we’ve just got to try to be professional and also not get too carried away.
“This time of the season is the business end and it wasn’t the best of games at Nuneaton but we came away with three points.”
Meanwhile, striker Amari Morgan-Smiith has been recalled from his Harriers loan spell by Macclesfield Town after one goal in five appearances.
He was due to complete the stint after today’s match but the standard loan agreement allowed for an immediate recall following the first 28 days.
