Harriers eye winning record at Gateshead
KIDDERMINSTER Harriers are chasing an eighth straight Blue Square Bet Premier victory when they take on Gateshead tonight (7.45).
Steve Burr’s side closed to within goal difference of leaders Wrexham following last Saturday’s 3-2 win against Ebbsfleet United and will be looking to keep the pressure on at Bootham Crescent.
Tonight’s match is taking place at York City’s ground because Gateshead’s International Stadium pitch is not fit because of drainage problems caused by the winter weather.
Harriers remain the form team in the division and another win would break their own record of seven successive triumphs earlier in the campaign.
Striker Anthony Malbon will also be out to add to his seven goals in six games.
Meanwhile, Michael Gash has joined the club on loan until the end of the season from Cambridge United with striker Nathan Blissett going the other way for a month.
