Worcester Wolves face three home games in a week
WORCESTER Wolves will play three home games in the space of a week following the rescheduling of the match against Manchester Giants.
The Giants were due at the University of Worcester earlier this month but the fixture was postponed due to Wolves facing Leicester Riders in the British Basketball League Trophy semi-final.
The game will now take place on Saturday, March 23 (7pm), just 24 hours after Paul James’ side visit Sheffield Sharks.
It will be the first of a triple header as the rearranged game against Newcastle Eagles, postponed in January due to the BBL Cup final, is on Tuesday, March 26 (7.30pm).
That is followed by the visit of Plymouth Raiders on Friday, March 29 (7.30pm).
Wolves, who are still hoping to play at the new Worcester Arena before the end of the season, have also announced ticket offers for the matches.
For the Manchester game, one child goes free with a full paying adult, while it is two for the price of one on adult tickets for the Plymouth clash.
Wolves have dropped to fourth in the table following Plymouth’s 76-71 victory over Newcastle Eagles last Friday.
James’ side are level on 34 points with the Devon outfit but have played a game more.
Guard Alex Owumi is also the league’s fourth leading points scorer, averaging 18.6 points per game.
