WORCESTERSHIRE seamer Alan Richardson has withdrawn from the MCC's forthcoming tour to Abu Dhabi.

New Road veteran Richardson has picked up a minor quadricep injury, which will take approximately seven days to heal.

His withdrawal from the tour, which is the traditional curtain-raiser to the English season and sees the MCC take on the previous year’s county champions, allows him to focus his attention on regaining full fitness for Worcestershire's 2013 campaign.
