MALVERN Joggers hold their popular summer evening 10-kilometre race on Castlemorton Common for the fifth time tomorrow night.

A picturesque but slightly demanding route heads towards Little Malvern Priory and then across the common to the Gullet Quarry before returning along Hancocks Lane.

Runners often commend the challenge for the friendly marshals and Malvern Hills scenery.

Entry forms are available at malvernjoggers.co.uk and the race starts near the Welland Village Hall headquarters at 7.30pm.

Meanwhile, Joggers’ Chris Smallman led his club home in 24th position at the Hay-on-Wye Hotfooters’ Magic Roundabout 10k.

Smallman clocked 45 minutes six seconds and was second in the men’s veterans over 50s, while Marc Bingham finished 45th in 48.48.

Jerry Greer recorded 52.36, Megan Judge 54.06, Andrew Banham 54.21, Trevor Matty 54.5, Julie Caseley 55.18 and Steve Roode 55.57.
