MIDFIELDER Kyle Storer is determined to help Kidderminster Harriers make a good start to the season.
The Aggborough outfit host Gateshead in their first fixture of the 2013-14 Conference Premier campaign on Saturday, August 10.
But Steve Burr’s side have a less than impressive record in opening-day games, having lost to Lincoln City and Gateshead in each of the past two seasons.
Ahead of the first warm-up fixture against Walsall next Saturday, they have their sights set on getting off to a good start.
Storer said: “The start we had last year was horrible so hopefully we can hit the ground running, and maintain that through the season.
“I don’t think we’ve beaten Gateshead since I’ve been here so it’s going to be a tough start.
“Hopefully, we can get three points and kick on to two away trips which won’t be easy either.”
Harriers squad numbers 2013-14: 1 Danny Lewis, 2 Lee Vaughan, 3 Mickey Demetriou, 4 Kyle Storer, 5 Jamie Tolley, 6 Chey Dunkley, 7 Jack Byrne, 8 Lee Fowler, 9 Michael Gash, 10 Anthony Malbon, 11 Marvin Johnson, 13 Nathan Blissett, 14 Dior Angus, 16 Danny Jackman, 17 James Dance, 18 Callum Gittings, 19 Ryan Rowe, 23 Nathan Vaughan, 30 Josh Gowling.
