ARGENTINEAN number eight Leonardo Senatore’s nine-week ban for biting South Africa lock Eben Etzebeth means he will now link-up with his new Worcester Warriors team-mates on Monday.

The former Toulon back-rower was not due at Sixways until the culmination of the Pumas’ Rugby Championship campaign at the end of this month, but he will arrive ahead of schedule because of his suspension.

However, the ban has ruled him out of the last four games of the Championship and three for Worcester. He is free to play again on October 27 and could feature in the Warriors’ game against Bath on November 1.

Director of rugby Dean Ryan said: “I’m looking forward to meeting him – he looks a great athlete and I’m really excited about working with him.

“Obviously, he’s pretty unhappy about the incident, but I don’t know the bloke, so I have to welcome him to Worcester, get him involved and I’m pleased to be able to do that.

“I’ve spoken to Agustin Creevy about him as they were both playing in France and those two are pretty tight – I wish they were here now.”
