Bulls fans praised for financing Brodie loan deal

CHAIRMAN David Keyte has praised the Hereford United Indep- endent Sup-porters Association (HUISA) for fin-ancing the deal to bring striker Richard Brodie to the club.
Brodie agreed a one-month loan with the Bulls from Gateshead ahead of last night’s Skrill Premier match against Aldershot at Edgar Street.
It sees the 26-year-old goal-getter reunited with manager Martin Foyle, who he worked with between 2008 and 2010 at York City. Brodie scored 53 goals in 135 appearances for the Minstermen and also played alongside current Hereford striker Michael Rankine with City.
His move to United has been made possible because of an undisclosed donation from HUISA.
Hereford chief Keyte said: “We are extremely grateful to HUISA for their financial assistance in helping us to bring in Richard on a month-long loan, and I would like to place on record our thanks for their continued support.”
Meanwhile, an FA tribunal will determine what compensation Hereford are entitled to for midfielder Sam Clucas and striker Ryan Bowman.
The pair, who were out of contract, joined League Two sides Mansfield and York respectively in the summer. But because both are under 24 and were offered new or improved contracts, the Bulls can claim a fee.
A tribunal panel will meet at Wembley Stadium on Monday, September 23, to discuss both cases.
