FANS of Worcester Warriors have not been shy in coming forward with criticism of the club this season.

Five straight defeats in the Aviva Premiership saw the steam coming off keyboards as supporters took to online message boards to vent their displeasure.

No aspect of the Sixways experience has been immune, including the much-maligned video and anthem.

But here I have some sympathy for chief executive Charles Cameron and everyone else behind its production.

In these situations, clubs can’t win.

When they try something different in a bid to connect with fans, not everyone is going to like it.

So, they are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

I can see why people haven’t taken to it.

The “We are Warriors” line is hardly a battle cry, it portrays more of an indifferent feeling towards the opposition.

However, the concept of aiming it at a younger audience, while using iconic Worcester imagery such as the cathedral, is well thought out. It is also well performed and produced.

Warriors might not have got it spot-on but a pre-match video is the least of their concerns at the moment.
