Returning Kai ‘excited’ to be with brother Jamal

KAI Williams says he is excited about linking up with his brother Jamal at Worcester Wolves.
The 25-year-old forward, who left Wolves in the summer, has rejoined the University Arena club after being released by British Basketball League rivals Chesire Phoenix.
Brother Jamal signed for Worcester at the start of the season from Plymouth Raiders but is currently out with a leg injury.
Kai Williams, who stands at 6ft 6ins, said: “I’m happy to be back and looking forward to the season. Everyone is really talented on this team and obviously playing alongside my brother is something very special and I’m fortunate to have that opportunity.”
Director of basketball Paul James added: “When I knew Kai was available, it was an easy call to discuss him coming back to Worcester.
“It’s great to have him back, he’ll be an extra threat for us from the perimeter.
“We all know what he brought to the team last year, so if he can do that again for the remainder of the season it will certainly help us.”
Williams announced his arrival back in the city with a three-pointer on his very first touch of the ball in last Friday’s 101-79 victory over Surrey United, before going on to hit 10 further points, as well as grabbing a useful six rebounds.
He said: “The way this team is set up with guys like Alex (Owumi), Zaire (Taylor), Will (Creekmore) and Andreas (Schreiber) demanding a lot of attention, it makes it easier to play out there.
“It means there are a lot of open shots to be had and I was able to knock a lot of those down.”
