KIDDERMINSTER Harriers look set for a battle to hold on to some of their key players during the January transfer window.

Both centre-half Chey Dunkley and forward Joe Lolley are attracting interest from Football League clubs and could be tempted away from Aggborough.

Dunkley is on Swindon Town’s radar with the League One side reportedly having the 21-year-old watched by scouts.

Lolley’s goal-scoring exploits from the wing since leaping up the non-league ladder from Littleton have also not gone unnoticed.

The 21-year-old has netted seven goals for Steve Burr’s Skrill Premier title-chasers and is attracting interest from Championship outfit Millwall and Peterborough United from League One, who Harriers meet in the FA Cup on January 4.

For Kidderminster, who were due to visit Grimsby Town last night, it is a case of history repeating itself after Fleetwood swooped for Jamile Matt 12 months ago, eventually paying £300,000 for the striker.

But, with Dunkley and Lolley both out of contract in the summer, the club would be unable to command large transfer fees. There is also the possibility Harriers could sell the players and have them loaned back to assist their promotion bid.

Meanwhile, the Aggborough club have revealed a trading loss of £40,654 during the 2012-13 season.

That figure has been offset by £122,700 which directors and the Kidderminster Harriers Independent Supporters’ Trust put into the club in return for shares, resulting in an increase in shareholders’ funds of £82,046 overall to £892,721.

Along with the sale of Matt to Fleetwood last January, they also boosted their coffers with capacity crowds against Wrexham and Stockport, which saw the club’s turnover rise from £1,027,355 to £1,525,310.

Harriers’ annual meeting is on Thursday, January 23, at 7.30pm.
