CHAIRMAN Mark Serrell has urged Kidderminster Harriers fans to help rivals Hereford United in their financial crisis.
The two sides meet at Edgar Street tomorrow (3pm) and the Harriers chief wants a large travelling support to make the short journey for the Skrill Premier derby, swelling the Bulls’ coffers in the process.
Hereford are currently trying to raise £35,000 to pay staff wages for December.
It is just two years since Harriers narrowly avoided going into administration and Serrell said: “Obviously to have many, many hundreds of fans there at Hereford to support the team on New Year’s Day would be fantastic and a great sight.
“But I also feel for Hereford and the situation they are in and I know many others do too.
“A lot of people are working hard to turn things around there but it is far from easy so it would be fair to say that to have that number of Harriers fans paying to attend the match would also help in that respect.”
