DANNY Glover and Shabir Khan are set to give Worcester City a boost by returning for today’s match against Solihull Moors at Aggborough (3pm).
City are looking to kick off 2014 with a victory as they seek vital points in the battle against relegation from Skrill North.
Striker Glover has been struggling with a dead arm sustained in the reverse fixture against Solihull on Boxing Day, which ended 1-1, and missed Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to rivals Gloucester City.
Defender Shabir has to be regularly rested because of a hernia problem and was also absent against the Tigers. But both have improved and manager Carl Heeley is keen to get them back to bolster his team. He said: “I am hopeful that Shabir and Danny will be fit because I thought we missed them against Gloucester.”
However, captain Graham Hutchison is set to miss his fourth match in a row due to the ankle injury he aggravated against Aldershot.
There will be an Aggborough pitch inspection at 10am today to decide whether the Solihull Moors game will go ahead.
