HEREFORD United have lost loan winger Micah Evans due to their transfer embargo.

Burnley’s Evans, 20, played his last game of six for the Bulls in the televised 1-1 Skrill Premier draw at big-spending Forest Green Rovers live on BT Sport.

Evans joined Torquay loan midfielder Damon Lathrope and Ireland-bound striker Eric Od-hiambo in leaving Edgar Street this week.

The Bulls are under a transfer embargo after a winding-up order was served but hope to sign extended ground leases on Monday, enabling a vital six-figure contract with a telecoms company to go through.

Manager Martin Foyle admitted: “Things are testing us again. With an embargo in place, I can’t do anything.

“The fans are certainly behind us. They realise how hard this job is. Everybody’s doing more than they should be doing. But, unfortunately, we haven’t got any money.

“Until someone comes in with some sort of rescue package that can help us survive, we are what we are.”

Next up is the visit of Southport next Saturday after the Forest Green draw, which was inspired by fine saves from young keeper Daniel Lloyd-Weston.

Rovers went ahead on 54 minutes through Marcus Kelly but left-back Chris Bush equalised with a fine shot on the turn 15 minutes from time.

Home defender Dale Bennett was sent off late on for foul and abusive language.

Hereford: Lloyd-Weston, Collins (Leadbitter 66), Graham, McDonald, Bush, Artus (Walker 66), O’Keefe, Brown, Evans, Sharp, Rankine. Subs unused: Purdie, Edge, Edwards. Attendance: 1,077.
