KIDDERMINSTER Harriers’ FA Cup hero Joe Lolley has completed his move to Championship side Huddersfield Town.

The 21-year-old is moving for an initial fee thought to be in the region of £250,000 but it is believed the package with add-ons could be worth up to £500,000 to Kidderminster.

The young striker only joined in the summer from Midland Combination outfit Littleton and scored 11 goals in 19 appearances, including the winner in last night’s 3-2 FA Cup third-round replay upset at League One side Peterborough United.

Harriers now visit Premier League outfit Sunderland in the fourth round on Saturday, January 25 (3pm).

Club chairman Mark Serrell said: “Joe’s performed fantastically on the pitch during all of this — not least last night — but his heart is set on what is something of a dream move for him and I don’t think anybody would want to see him denied that.

“So the two clubs have established a deal to make that happen and, as it our belief this will not be Joe’s last big move in football, we’ve worked to ensure Harriers are looked after in the future.”

Lolley’s stunning strike at Peterborough made it 3-2 after Britt Assombalonga levelled from the spot.

Kidderminster were trailing to Danny Rowe’s first-half strike but hit back through Michael Gash and Jack Byrne.
