MANAGER Andy Thorn insists Kidderminster Harriers will leave no stone unturned in their pursuit to succeed where Manchester United failed and beat Sunderland.

Harriers travel to the Stadium of Light tomorrow (3pm) for an FA Cup fourth round tie that has captured the imagination of everybody at Aggborough.

It is the club's biggest match in the competition since reaching the fifth round 20 years ago, when they were beaten by West Ham.

While the odds of victory are against them, Thorn is not about to let the occasion overwhelm his players.

The game comes just three days after Gus Poyet's Black Cats, who are battling relegation from the top-flight, reached the League Cup final by beating Manchester United on penalties in their semi-final second leg at Old Trafford.

“It was good to go and see Sunderland at Old Trafford," said Thorn, who win the FA Cup with Wimbledon in 1988. “It was an entertaining game but whether all of their players will feature is a different thing. Hopefully they won’t all play!

“Hopefully we can put our style on the game. Going to play at the Stadium of Light is a massive thing for us and we’re going to enjoy every minute of it.

“Everbody wants to improve themselves and it’s an opportunity to put their wits against Premier League players.

“It is important we prepare properly and know what we’re doing as a unit. We’ll do that and we’ll be going there in good frame of mind.

“You have to be professional in everything you do and play the opposition in front of you.

“We’ll have a game plan and we’ll stick to it. We certainly won’t fail because of a lack of preparation.”

Harriers, who lost 2-1 to Dartford on Tuesday, could still be without midfielder Callum Gittings because of shoulder and hamstring problems.

Sunderland may look to rest key personnel following their League Cup heroics and with Wednesday's crucial match against fellow Premier League strugglers Stoke in mind.
