With Stelling having chased his own clearance, there's no one at home for Warriors when Sale kick in behind. RDC gathers and runs the ball back, but is guilty og not releasing. Ford drills the penalty to the corner.

Sale turn down the posts and kick to the corner - brave given their line-out throwing so far...

Just under five minutes of a dreadful half of rugby left. Low on quality, high on unforced errors.

Sale 3-0 Warriors

2:00pm

Anyway, here we go!

Dean Schofield leads the Warriors team out against the team he spent more than a decade with.

The Sale players are out now as well and kick-off is moments away.

1:59pm

Just as a word of warning, my laptop is getting pretty wet with the rain swirling into the stadium. If it gets much worse, I'll be packing it away and that'll be the end of the blog unless the sun comes out....!

If it comes to that, I'll try to tweet updates from my phone - you can follow me @tomguestWN

1:58pm

Can't say I know too much about the Sale team today. That said, there's a fair few new faces in the Warriors side too!

The two youthful teams look evenly-matched, but maybe the power of Sale's bench could be the difference today.

Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing some of Worcester's exciting youngsters in action - hopefully they will go well.

1:47pm

My pleasure Cathy.........

As fas as the convoluted format of the LV= Cup goes, where you play games against teams who aren't in your pool (?!), Warriors are currently second behind Bath in pool three.

The West Country side have a four-point lead over Worcester with the final two rounds still to be played.

Bath are favourites to progress to the semi-finals, but a win today could set Warriors up for an interesting pool-stage finale when Exeter Chiefs come to Sixways next weekend.

1:14pm

Dean Ryan has peppered his side for today's match with some of the Sixways club's most promising prospects.

Fly-half Elliott Davies makes his debut, while fellow academy prospects Jack Cosgrove, Andrew Boyce and George de Cothi could make their first appearance for the club if they're called from the bench.
