BASKETBALL will be top of the agenda when an open day is held at the University Arena later this month.

Officials from the University of Worcester's basketball programme and the Worcester Wolves, who play at the Hylton Road venue, will be meeting potential students on Wednesday, February 19.

Wolves are currently top of the British Basketball League, while the university team have been crowned British champions for the last three years running and seven out of the last nine.

The European Basketball Research Centre is also based at the university and there arena is one of the best facilities for the sport in Europe.

Student and athletes can attend the open day to find out about the opportunities that exist within basketball while studying at the university.

Director of basketball Paul James will give a talk, together with his team of coaches from the university and Wolves programme.
