WORCESTER'S Argentine international second row Mariano Galarza will join Gloucester in time for the 2014-15 season.

The 27-year-old has had a spell at struggling Warriors following his time representing Argentina in the Rugby Championship.

At 6ft 8in and weighing in at 115kg, Galarza will provide Gloucester director of rugby Nigel Davies with additional second-row options.

Galarza, who also played for Leinster, has made 18 appearances for the Pumas after making his debut in 2010 and was involved in their Rugby World Cup 2011 campaign.

Davies said: "Having spoken with Mariano, he is excited at the prospect of becoming a Gloucester player and is looking forward to becoming part of what is shaping up to be an exciting squad of players.

"Mariano is an experienced, physical operator and his signing is another statement of intent for us.”

Meanwhile, Worcester's Samoan winger David Lemi, 31, is also off in the summer after opting to join Bristol on a two-year contract.
