ALL-action hooker Agustin Creevy makes his much-anticipated return to the Warriors starting XV for tomorrow night's Aviva Premiership crunch clash with Leicester Tigers at Sixways (7.45pm).
The Argentinian international made just two appearances for Worcester after joining the club in October before being ruled out for three months with a knee injury.
Creevy’s inclusion is one of six changes as director of rugby Dean Ryan looks to field a side capable of producing more than the dismal efforts of the team that was thrashed 42-3 by Exeter Chiefs in the LV= Cup last time out.
Ignacio Mieres, Jeremy Su’a, Chris Brooker, Rob O’Donnell, George Porter and Max Stelling all make way with Paul Warwick, Jonny Arr, Creevy, John Andress, Ofa Fainga’anuku and Alex Grove coming in.
South African lock Mike Williams keeps his place in the back-row alongside Sam Betty and captain Jonathan Thomas.
Grove, who was on Scotland ‘A’ duty against England Saxons last weekend, returns, while Bristol-bound David Lemi will start his first Premiership game since November. Leonardo Senatore, Paul Hodgson and Josh Matavesi are all named among the replacements.
Ryan said: “Leicester must be delighted that Toby Flood and Ben Youngs are available and that Anthony Allen is back.
“They’ve got a significant injury list but they have a significant squad. That’s what a good club is - it has layers of depth and a heritage of success.
“That’s what we are trying to build and Leicester are a great template for success over the years. People only go there that want to be successful and they are a great advert for English rugby.
“They’re always very physical and they’ve always got a great set-piece. They’ve got some world-class players in that team.”
Ryan added: “I’m desperate for this club to fight for its survival and therefore I’ve got to frame decisions around that.
“We’re going to have to beat a team like Leicester, Northampton or Harlequins if we are to get ourselves out of this position. That starts at home tomorrow night and we will fight like mad to give ourselves every chance.”
