ENGLAND women’s head coach Gary Street has made seven changes to the team that defeated Scotland for Saturday’s Six Nations clash against Ireland at Twickenham (6.20pm).
In a must-win match against the defending Six Nations Grand Slam champions, Street has called up a new front row with Worcester's Rochelle Clark, Richmond's Emma Croker and Bristol's Sophie Hemming all starting.
Worcester’s Katherine Merchant and Bristol’s Kay Wilson form a new wing partnership, while Lichfield’s Natasha Hunt returns at scrum-half.
Laura Keates, Ceri Large and Lydia Thompson from Worcester are on the bench.
The nation last played Ireland in the Six Nations and lost 25-0 in Ashbourne.
England: Scarratt; Merchant, Reed, Burford, Wilson; Mclean, Hunt; Clark, Croker, Hemming, Essex, McGilchrist, Gallagher, Alphonsi, Hunter. Replacements: Fleetwood, Keates, Acheson, Taylor, Packer, Mason, Large, Thompson.
