KIDDERMINSTER Harriers face Braintree at Aggborough tomorrow (3pm) intent on getting their play-off push back on track.

Three defeats in their last four Skrill Premier matches have seen Harriers drop to 10th in the table, seven points adrift of the top five.

Although they have games in hand on the majority of the teams above them because of their FA Cup heroics, the 3-0 home victory over Salisbury on January 11 remains their only win since Andy Thorn replace Steve Burr as manager.

Rather than galvanise the team in a bid to return to the Football League, Thorn has saw far overseen an extension to the run of results that saw Burr sacked last month.

In Burr's last five league games in charge, Harriers managed only one victory - a 2-1 success against Hereford - and were thumped 6-0 at Luton.

Indeed, Kidderminster are at the foot of the form table along with cellar dwellars Hyde, who have only secured eight points all season, and second-from-bottom Tamworth.

It makes the Braintree match all the more vital in arresting the slide and climbing back up the ladder.

Former Wimbledon defender Thorn has called on supporters to keep faith with the players and cheer them on to victory against The Iron.

“I want the fans to get behind the team, to be positive with the players," he said. “We’ve got a big home game and the team needs the fans behind them.

“The most important thing for us is to go out and win tomorrow. We can’t look beyond Braintree at the moment and we’re going to have to take it game-by-game.

“You can’t legislate for individual errors but you can keep working hard and eventually the confidence will return. I am sure we will get it right.”

New additions Josh O'Keefe, Freddie Ladapo, Adrian Cieslewicz and Argentinian Santiago Aloi could all be involved as Thorn ponders changes following last Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Lincoln City.

Harriers will also be hoping to make the most of a potentially rusty Braintree outfit who have played just once in 2014 - a 1-0 loss at Woking - because of the bad weather.

The Essex side have seen their last eight games called off, home and away, leaving them with a major fixture backlog.
