RYAN Rowe and Anthony Malbon are both poised to return for Kidderminster Harriers in today's Skrill Premier match against Braintree (3pm).

Manager Andy Thorn is considering turning to the strike duo in a bid to spark Harriers into action following back-to-back defeats.

Rowe has spent the majority of this season on loan at Stourbridge, while Malbon had his fitness levels publicly questioned by Thorn last month.

However, the pair have impressed in training and are ready to be unleashed at Aggborough.

“The pair of them have worked extremely hard," Thorn said. “They’ve got themselves back into a condition where they can be considered and I am looking forward to having them back.

“Anthony has got his head down and I’ve had a long chat with him about where he could go as a player or where he could disappear to as a player.

“He has worked his socks off and is looking better and better all the time.

“We’re in a position where I am not hesitating about throwing them in whereas before I couldn’t.

“They have got themselves back on their game and they are two bright, very talented young players.

“Credit to them, I am looking forward to bringing them back in.”

The pair's chances of featuring have been increased with 11-goal top scorer Michael Gash struggling with the hamstring injury sustained early on during last Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Lincoln City.

Keeper Danny Lewis (virus) and midfielder turned left-back Danny Jackman (hamstring) remain doubts after missing the Lincoln match.

Thorn will also be forced into a change at right-back as Lee Vaughan starts a two-game ban after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season against the Imps.

Meanwhile, defender Mickey Demetriou has been included in England C's 16-man squad to face Jordan under 23s in Amman on Tuesday, March 4.
