KIDDERMINSTER Harriers will be hoping to finish a turbulent few days on a high with victory over Woking at Aggborough tonight (7.45pm).

Upheaval in the boardroom saw Mark Serrell resign as chairman after Saturday's 2-2 home draw against Braintree and replaced by Ken Rae until at least the end of the season.

Serrell's departure came in the wake of criticism from the fans following a string of indifferent results under new manager Andy Thorn.

But Thorn was buoyed by his side's second-half display at the weekend which saw two goals from substitute Amari Morgan-Smith cancel out efforts from Dan Holman and Matt Paine to earn a point.

He also believes Harriers can play much better as they seek a first win since beating Salisbury City 3-0 on January 11.

"We were disappointed in the dressing room after the game that we did not get three points," former Wimbledon defender Thorn said.

"Sometimes when you come from behind to get something like we did it can feel like a win, but it didn't for us because we know we're better than that and know we should have got a result.

"But we'll go into tonight's game trying to get three points, it is as simple as that.

"Four points from these two home games would be a reasonable return and a good way to go into two tough away games we've got coming up."

KIdderminster have dropped to 10th in the Skrill Premier and can't afford to lose more ground in the race for the play-offs.

They are already six points adrift and, despite having games in hand, head to second-placed Cambridge United on Saturday and Wrexham the following weekend.

Morgan-Smith's heroics could see him earn a starting place tonight, while strike colleague Ryan Rowe replaced Adrian Cieslewicz for the last nine minutes on Saturday and will be hoping for more against Woking.

But top scorer Michael Gash is still a doubt with the hamstring injury that forced him off during the match at Lincoln City earlier this month.

Right-back Lee Vaughan completes his two-match ban, while Danny Jackman came through unscathed against Braintree after returning to the team following a hamstring injury.
