LONDON Irish have signed Worcester-born England international Luke Narraway on a two-year deal.
The experienced number eight, who attended The Chantry High School, Martley, and King's School, Worcester, joins the Exiles from Top 14 side Perpignan, where he has spent the last two seasons.
Narraway, 30, joined Gloucester from King's in 2002 and went on to make 163 appearances for the Cherry and Whites before signing for Perpignan.
During his time in the west country, he won the European Challenge Cup and LV=Cup.
The athletic, powerful back rower has been capped seven times by England and was involved in three successful England Saxons Churchill Cup campaigns.
He has represented the nation at every level from the under 18s to senior Test team and was in the under 21s side who won a first Six Nations Grand Slam in 2004.
Narraway said: "There has been a lot of positive news to come out of London Irish over the last six months, not least with the announcement of the new board of directors and the move to a new state-of-the-art training ground.
"I'm excited with the direction the club are heading and I'm looking forward to being a part of their plans.”
