MANAGER Carl Heeley says Worcester City won't be doing any favours for clubs in the Skrill North play-off picture by fielding a weakened team in the final three games of the season.

While City's status in the division is secure, tomorrow's visitors to Aggborough, Brackley Town (3pm), still have an outside chance of forcing their way into the top five.

Hednesford Town and Boston United, who City play on Monday and next Saturday respectively, are also very much in the hunt.

Heeley had hoped to run the rule over several of the squad's fringe players, like he did in last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Workington, but is determined not to give opponents an easy ride.

The City boss said: "In an ideal world, I would have liked to play some younger players but I am not going to be disrespectful to other teams. We will play our strongest available side because we are playing against teams with something to play for so we won't be doing any favours.

"Last weekend I took the opportunity to look at Aaron Farrell, James Lemon and Danny Edwards but this week there's a lot to play for."

Heeley added: "It's about us and getting as many points as we can. It would be nice to finish off the last three games strongly because the second-half of the season deserves it."

Winger Martin Devaney missed the trip to Cumbria through illness but is back in contention to face Brackley, as is midfielder Aaron Brown, who has been unavailable for the last two matches because of a family funeral in Jamaica.

Centre-half Shabir Khan is also fit having played in the 1-0 victory over Barrow last week but then being rested for the Workington trip due to his ongoing hernia complaint.

Heeley said: "We should be close to full strength for the last three games which gives us welcome options."

Keeper Ryan Boot has returned to parent club Port Vale but City still have Swindon loanee Leigh Bedwell and Jose Veiga to call on.

Centre-half Richard Munday has had the cast removed from his hand but won't be involved in the remaining matches.
