FANS are continuing to show their support for exiled Worcester City with 150 season tickets already sold for the 2014-15 campaign.

Only two weeks have passed since the last campaign ended but supporters have moved quickly to back the Blue and Whites, who finished 15th in Skrill North.

The total so far is predominantly made up of full-priced season tickets with a lower number of the £100 ticket, which offers admission to 10 games.

Last year, the club sold 500 £100 tickets but that was when they were valid for every home league match.

Following on from player-of-the-year George Williams, Graham Hutchison, Ellis Deeney and Tyler Weir agreeing new deals with the club, director Mike Davis believes it has been an encouraging start to the summer and expects more sales to follow.

He said: "The £100 season ticket offer, together with the emotions generated among supporters when City were leaving St George's Lane in May 2013, was always going to be hard to follow.

"We have tried really hard to offer something for everyone. Realistic prices for regular fans, the £100 ticket for those who want to see a few games and for people who will treat it as more of a donation.

It seems to be working.

"We have already sold 150 tickets and it’s only the first week in May. In seasons past that would have been the average for total season ticket sales."

The Aggborough club have outlets for fans to buy tickets in Worcester with Knowles Sports in Broad Street selling them and Nutz4sportz in George Street accepting completed application forms and cheques.

Club representatives will also be at The Plough in Fish Street from 12.30pm to 2pm on Tuesdays and between 8pm and 9.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Davis added: "We may not have a home to call our own but we have a presence in the city. We are confident that the sales figure will continue to increase."
