MARTIN Devaney has not ruled out returning to Worcester City for next season.

The former Kidderminster Harriers and Cheltenham Town winger played 10 times for Carl Heeley's team towards the end of the Skrill North campaign.

Although he only scored one goal, his flamboyant style of play won him plenty of fans during his short stay at Aggborough.

The experienced 33-year-old is mulling over his options for the 2014-15 campaign, which include coaching as he starts his UEFA 'A' Licence this summer.

But pulling on the blue and white of Worcester again remains a possibility for the Sheffield-based player, who has also run the Under 12s academy team at former club Barnsley.

When asked what his plans were, he said: "This summer, I'm not sure. I've been doing my coaching the last few years and loved that.

"Worcester was really good, the boys there were great. I might go back there and have another year at it; I don't know at the moment."

Devaney might not come cheap but Worcester's financial situation has improved in recent months and manager Heeley has been able to sign four players on contracts.

The club have also been boosted by an increasing number of season ticket sales and a good take up to the Gold Bond lottery.

In addition, City hope to attract fans back to Aggborough after renewing their partnership with London Midland to offer reduced train travel to Kidderminster.

Season ticket holders will be able to take advantage of cut price return fares - £3.50 for adults and £2.95 for five to 15-year-olds - on production of their tickets at Foregate Street station.

The scheme was first introduced last term and proved a big hit with supporters.

Elsewhere, City will play a pre-season friendly at Evesham United on Friday, July 25. The match will kick-off at the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium at 7.45pm.
