PLENTY of work is going on behind the scenes to strengthen Worcester City's squad says manager Carl Heeley.
Although no new signings have yet been made, talks are ongoing with a number of targets on the Blue and Whites' radar.
Player-of-the-year George Williams, captain Ellis Deeney, Tyler Weir and Graham Hutchison have already committed their futures to the Skrill North club.
Strikers Daniel Nti and Ethan Moore are also pondering new deals, along with fellow forward Aaron Williams, but utility player Aaron Brown has joined Solihull Moors.
Manager Heeley said: "There are lots of players we are speaking to and we have missed out on a few already but we have got lots more irons in the fire.
"It's getting players that will help us improve what we had at the end of last season. At the moment there's a lot of groundwork being done."
He added: "There will have to be people who we will take a chance on and gamble and see if they can step up a level like last season."
