WORCESTER City expect to comfortably break the 200-barrier for season ticket sales ahead of the new season.

With more than two months still to go before the 2014-15 Skrill North campaign begins in earnest, sales are already creeping towards that figure.

City sold 500 of their £100 tickets last summer and have kept a similar offer covering 10 games this time around.

But the majority of the current sales have been at full price – £210 for adults and £150 for concessions.

In past seasons, the Blue and Whites would have expected to sell around 150 at full price in total and make up the rest of their revenue at the turnstile.

Director Mike Davis said: “Last season was exceptional but to be already up near 200 is a good thing.

“We have still got June and July so we are going to be well over 200 by the start of the season and that would be exceptional for us and represent a good return.”

Davis also said that City are in the process of contacting everyone who bought a £100 ticket last season in a bid to get them to buy another to boost the coffers.

Not all of those who signed up to the scheme, which generated £50,000 for the club, attended matches, instead seeing their purchase as a donation.

With City playing at Aggborough in Kidderminster, tickets can be bought at Knowles Sports in Broad Street, the Plough on Deansway or Nutz4Sportz in George Street.

The club are also hopeful of announcing a further pick-up point in the city next week.

On the pitch, manager Carl Heeley is continuing negotiations with potential new signings.

So far, five players have committed themselves to the club.
