CHRIS Pennell will have the chance to add to his brief England debut after being named among the replacements for tomorrow’s New Zealand tour match against Super 15 side Crusaders in Christchurch (8.35am BST).

Warriors’ vice-captain won his first cap with a couple of minutes off the bench in the first Test at Eden Park, before being left out of the squad for Saturday’s 28-27 loss in Dunedin.

Former Worcester flanker Matt Kvesic starts at openside tomorrow, while his close friend Pennell will be eager to get some more game-time off the bench.

Ed Slater will captain an experienced England side, which includes 11 capped internationals. The Leicester lock is one of four senior England debutants along with Northampton Saints loosehead prop Alex Waller, Gloucester centre Henry Trinder and Bath wing Anthony Watson.

Sale’s Christchurch-born Michael Paterson, a former Crusader, is named on the replacements' bench with fellow uncapped trio Dave Ward, Nathan Catt and Kyle Sinckler.

Meanwhile, Warriors academy prop Jack Cosgrove has also been in international action as he helped Scotland Under 20s to their first win of the IRB Junior World Championship in New Zealand yesterday.

The Sixways loosehead played 64 minutes of a tight encounter with Italy, which Scotland edged 21-18 at the ECOLight Stadium in Pukehoke.

Cosgrove has featured in all four of Scotland's matches in the tournament so far, starting in three of them.

Scotland's last game of the tournament is against Argentina in the ninth place play-off at the QBE Stadium in North Harbour on Friday.

Cosgrove, 19, was one of seven Warriors academy players to make their first-team debuts last season, when he came on against Sale Sharks in the LV= Cup and was also a regular for Worcester Cavaliers.
