HEREFORD United are due to begin life in the Southern League Premier Division with a home match against St Neots Town on Saturday, August 9.

The Bulls are then scheduled to host Slough Town at Edgar Street on Tuesday, August 12, before a trip to Dorchester Town four days later.

However, the Edgar Street ground remains closed by Herefordshire Council because it does not have a safety certificate.

Hereford are also entering a Company Voluntary Agreement to pay creditors and it is not clear if they face any further penalties from the Southern League.

The club have also not announced any players, although they have named former Banbury United assistant boss Jon Taylor as manager and ex-Pegasus Juniors girls’ coach Neil Phelps as his deputy.
