WARRIORS academy coach and former England international Sam Vesty has launched a new website which has been designed to link professional coaches with their counterparts from the amateur game.

Alongside former Leicester team-mate and ex-Red Rose hooker George Chuter, Vesty has set up prorugbycoach.com, with the new platform set to go live on Friday.

The site will also feature monthly ‘webinars’ where budding players can chat face-to-face over a webcam with professional players and coaches.

Vesty, who won three Premiership titles with Leicester, played in two Heineken Cup finals, was named Tigers’ player of the year in 2009 when he was capped by England and is now academy transition manager at Sixways.

He said: “I have really enjoyed my first season at Worcester and we have been working tirelessly this summer to make our club fiercely competitive next season. Away from the pitch, my new project with George, Pro Rugby Coach, enables me to continue to let the creative juices flow.

“The site will continue to get bigger with loads more content planned. We feel the webinar feature will enable us to genuinely interact with amateur coaches and players and build up a relationship we believe will really help their club get one step ahead.

“It is very reasonably priced too because we wanted as many people as possible to subscribe and create an online community where coaches can find solutions to problems and be inspired by new ideas.”

Via Pro Rugby Coach, Vesty and Chuter aim to pass on the knowledge they have picked up working with the likes of Dean Richards, Bob Dwyer, Sir Ian McGeechan, Pat Howard and Richard Cockerill.
