ETHAN Moore has not been offered a new deal at Worcester City for next season.

The 21-year-old striker, who scored 12 goals last term, was involved during the friendlies but has been let go by the Conference North club.

The move comes on the eve of the new campaign and leaves City with Mike Symons as the main striker.

Talks are ongoing with last season’s top-scorer Daniel Nti and manager Carl Heeley was last night expecting an outcome as he sought to finalise his squad ahead of tomorrow’s opener with Stalybridge at Aggborough (3pm).

It is the second time former Aston Villa prospect Moore has been released by City and follows last summer’s saga.

On that occasion, he was initially deemed surplus to requirements after his commitment was called into question but he later returned to the Blue and Whites.

No official reason was given for his exit with Heeley saying: “We have decided he will not be staying at the club.”

Ex-Coventry youngster Ben Maund and teenager James Lemon are the other City strikers. A decision on Aaron Williams has yet to be made.
