MANAGER Carl Heeley insists there will be no FA Cup hangover for his Worcester City players against Leamington on Saturday (3pm).

Following a whirlwind week, in which the Blue and Whites came to national prominence with their victory over Coventry City, it is back to Vanarama Conference North action at Aggborough.

It is the first of four fixtures - three in the league and one in the FA Trophy - before the giantkillers aim to repeat the feat at Scunthorpe United on Sunday, December 7.

But Heeley says his team will not lose sight of trying to climb the table and protect a record that has seen them go nine games unbeaten, as well as only losing once at Aggborough in 2014.

The City boss said: "They will be focused and ready, no doubt whatsoever. There's a lot of competition for places and pride in their performances. The record we have at Aggborough is one we want to keep going as long as we can.

"Before the cup match we have got three league games and an FA Trophy match so as much as we're looking forward to it, it's got to go to the back of our minds now."

City can expect a heroes welcome when they take to the pitch tomorrow after causing the shock of the FA Cup first round against Coventry.

Heeley says it is would be no less than they deserve and is also hoping that some of the 3,220 who went to the Ricoh Arena will make the short trip to Kidderminster.

He said: "The longer-term aim is to attract more supporters, although the numbers we have got have been encouraging.

"It's simple - if more supporters come, it helps us to spend more money on players and we get more success, that's the bottom line.

"The players delivered the game plan against Coventry so the welcome they get will be one to savour and fully deserved."

Captain Ellis Deeney will be assessed before kick-off after suffering a dead leg against the Sky Blues, while centre-half Wayne Thomas sustained a cut face during a collision with keeper Nathan Vaughan in the match and is a doubt.

Tomorrow's match will be the fourth meeting between the sides in a month following both FA Cup third qualifying round fixtures and the 2-2 league draw at the New Windmill Ground on November 1.

Mike Symons scored a late equaliser in that match, also the last Leamington played, after Jordan Murphy had pulled one back following two early penalties from the Brakes' Matt Dodd.
