WORCESTER City are looking to stretch their unbeaten run to 11 games when they make the long trip to Harrogate Town tomorrow (3pm).

Carl Heeley's side are enjoying one of their most successful periods of recent times following their run to the FA Cup second round and want to back that up in the league.

They head to Wetherby Road six points shy of the Conference North play-off positions but with at least one game in hand on the teams above them.

Confidence is searing through the squad and Heeley says they are relishing the North Yorkshire clash.

He said: "When things are going well and you're winning games then everybody wants to be be part of it and rightly so.

"It's good at the moment and we have got everybody champing at the bit.

"When you're doing well you also tend to get that bit of fortune as well and you want to play every day."

Tomorrow's match is the first of three before the day of destiny against Scunthorpe in the FA Cup next month, with City also facing an FA Trophy tie against Barrow and a league trip to Hyde.

But Heeley reckons that is no bad thing as he tries to keep his players' mind on the task in hand.

He said: "The fact we have got three games is good and it will give an opportunity to mix the squad around because we will need to do that.

"We are not thinking about Scunthorpe at the moment, we are focusing on the next game."

A decision on Wayne Thomas' involvement will not be made until nearer kick-off with the centre-half still recovering from the gashed face he sustained in a collision with keeper Nathan Vaughan against Coventry City.

Thomas was replaced by Jacob Rowe for last Saturday's 2-1 win over Leamington at Aggborough and could be rested again.

Captain Ellis Deeney is walking a disciplinary tightrope as he is one booking away from a one-match ban.

City beat Harrogate 2-0 at Aggborough last month with goals from Nick Wright and on-loan Walsall forward Jordan Murphy.

Simon Weaver's side are one place below Worcester in the table but Heeley believes they are in a false position.

He explained: "It will certainly be a lot tougher than when we played them the other week. I look at what they have got available to them and it's one of the strongest squads in the league.

"It's not quite happened in the first part of the season for them but they will come good with the quality they have so it will be tough."
