AN accomplished display from Worcester Wanderers’ forwards laid the foundation for a fine 45-5 Mid - lands One West win over Kenilworth.

The game began with a determined Wanderers pack driving over the Ke - nilworth line from a well-controlled line-out, James Gunther scoring wide on the left and Olly Meadows converting from the touchline.

Moments later Worcester repeated the feat, with Jake Saddington scor - ing a try and Meadows again convert - ing from the touchline.

Confidence was high in the Wan - derers camp, but Kenilworth were dogged and their pacy back line was a constant threat.

Worcester’s third try came from quick ball being recycled into the hands of Paul Burton. Showing good skills, he worked the ball to Mike Dodge, who took full advantage to score. Meadows converted.

Kenilworth were stung and follow - ing a half-break from their outside centre the ball found itself in the hands of their pacy left-wing, who scorched past the covering Wander - ers defence to score.

The last word in the half came from Worcester who, with the clock tick - ing, took a quick tap-penalty. Follow - ing a series of off-loads and surging bursts from the forwards, with the back-row trio of Saddington, Chris Griffiths and Russ Marsland promi - nent, Chris Jenkinson received the ball in space and flew in to score.

Meadows again converted.

Further tries, including a brace from Griffiths and a second from Jenkinson plus a conversion from Meadows, completed the scoring
