WORCESTER City right-back George Williams has joined Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old, who joined City from Loughborough University in the summer of 2013, has agreed an 18-month contract with the League One side.
Williams said: "It hasn't really sunk in to be honest. I'm absolutely delighted to be here. I only heard about the interest a couple of days ago and now I'm here, so it's been a bit of a whirlwind.
"I'm only 21 so still quite young. I'm eager and determined. I'd like to think I can provide assists by going forward.
"I'm really looking forward to working hard on the training ground and pushing myself to get a start in the team.”
Williams spent two years as a scholar with MK Dons before leaving for Loughborough University to play in the Midland Alliance.
“I’d like to thank everyone who helped me at Worcester," he added. "They’re a good team and are going places."
