STRIKER Daniel Nti looks set to miss Saturday’s Conference North clash with Stockport County at Aggborough after suffering a leg injury against Redditch United.
A challenge by Reds full-back Joel Caines during the second-half of Tuesday’s semi-final, which City won 5-4 on penalties, saw Nti hobble off at the Valley Stadium.
He is now a major doubt for the weekend, adding to an injury list that also includes central defender Aaron Brown (ankle) and midfielder Connor Gater (knock), who both missed the cup tie.
Heeley was angered by the foul by Caines, who was booked and later sent off for a second caution, and one by Liam Spink on Sean Geddes.
He said: “I know there was no intent there but it was a poor tackle on Daniel and I’ve lost yet another player through injury.
“That was the most frustrating thing of the evening for me. He was caught really high and has got a nasty gash on his leg.”
He added: “Their number eight (Spink) smashed Sean early on and how he stayed on the park I don’t know but when you play against lower level players you get that occasionally.”
