WORCESTER hopefuls Westsiders have entered the Blackthorn British Skittles Championship in a bid to qualify for the grand finals at Weston-Super-Mare to take the men's title together with £1,000.
St John's-based Westsiders entered last year but were beaten by eventual runners-up Pin Ups in the semi-final.
Team secretary Dave Fryer said: "We are in really good form at the moment topping our league and had such a great time last year that we are determined to make the grand final again and, hopefully, go one step better."
They start in May with regional group matches and, if successful, will proceed through to a series of knockout rounds.
The victorious last 16 qualify for the grand finals on Saturday, September 22.
