WESLEY Joyce will miss Malvern Town's Southern League Division One Midlands trip to Leighton Town on Saturday (3pm) as he serves the final match of a three-game suspension.

Aside from Joyce, Town manager Paul Molloy only has a selection concern over centre-half Andy Cartwright who is suffering with a foot injury.

The defender picked up a knock in the disappointing 2-0 defeat at basement side Berkhamsted Town on Saturday and is set to undergo a late fitness test.

Molloy is confident he has got the players to get a result at Leighton, who are two points and three places behind Malvern, but insists his players must perform to the best of their ability. He said: "If the lads play like they did when we beat Bromsgrove 2-0 away, we should be able to win against Leighton.

"But if the side play like they did against Berkhamsted, we will lose.

"Having beaten Bromsgrove, they were over-confident going into the Berkhamsted game.

"The only injury concern at the moment is Andy Cartwright and if he is not able to play, I'll probably switch Nick Clayton inside from full-backto centre-half."

Leighton are on a good run at the moment, having won five and drawn two of their last nine games, so Malvern will need to be on top of their game to get a positive result.

Molloy added: "Leighton have had an influx of money recently that has got them going in the right direction. We certainly will not be taking them lightly.

"We did not deserve anything against Berkhamsted -we simply didn't turn up and the players under-estimated their opponents.

"Hopefully we can go to Leighton and get the win, but it depends which team turns up."
