WESTFIELDS fell 3-1 at Midland Alliance in-form side Boldmere St Michaels.

February's team-of-the-month award winners went a goal up inside the first 90 seconds as Mike Bykley raced onto a long ball over the defence.

Westfields, with only one defeat in the last seven games, improved and equalised on the hour when Jamie Edwards' curling corner sneaked in at the far post.

Ex-Hereford United striker Jimmy Quiggan had a positive impact off the bench for Boldmere who regained the lead on 70 minutes.

Ross Breeze stabbed home from six yards after a free-kick was not cleared and the same player hammered in a Quiggan cross during a quick breakaway.

Meanwhile, lowly Bromyard Town staged a tremendous fightback in the West Midlands Premier Division to draw at high-flying Bewdley Town.

After a poor first-half for Bromyard, Bewdley took a two-goal lead through Graham Abbis and ex-Redditch striker Jamie Hart.

The hosts dominated the period and should have been further ahead by the interval.

During the break, Bromyard changed their team around and took control for the rest of the game.

In the 64th minute, a loose ball fell to Andy Crowther on the edge of the box and he brilliantly chested the ball down before smashing an unstoppable volley into the roof of the net.

Bewdley failed to clear their lines two minutes later and Chris Allen pounced to head home the equaliser.

With five minutes left, Bromyard almost claimed all three points when Aaron Drake's shot fizzed inches over but a draw was probably a fair result.

Bromyard entertain Bustleholme tomorrow night in the league (7.45).
