WORCESTER City manager Carl Heeley says his side must show the hunger to end a six-game losing run against Gloucester City in tonight’s derby clash at Aggborough (7.45pm).

The Blue and Whites are desperate for a win against the Tigers having last tasted victory against their rivals on Boxing Day 2011.

With City in the hunt for top 10 finish in Conference North following Saturday’s 4-1 win over Hyde, Heeley is determined to end that un - wanted record.

He said: “We move on to the next game and try to turn the tables on Gloucester City because we are due a win against them.

“It happens in football, you get sides that seem to get the upper hand on you for a num - ber of reasons.

“What won’t be acceptable is Gloucester coming here and having an easy ride and that won’t happen.”

While City come into the game protecting a three- game unbeaten run, Glouces - ter are one of the division’s form sides. They have boost - ed their hopes of avoiding relegation with a five-game unbeaten sequence, includ - ing a 2-1 home victory over promotion-chasing Chorley.

After putting four goals past Hyde – meaning Worces - ter have now scored more than they have conceded this season — Heeley is looking for more of the same from his team. City are hoping right-back Kyle Haynes will be avail - able after missing the Hyde victory because his brother was in hospital following an accident.

But centre-half Rob Elvins, who sat out against Hyde with a groin strain, is a doubt along with Michael Taylor following the striker’s early substitution on Saturday due to a knee complaint.

That could see Anthony Charles continue alongside Jacob Rowe at the back and a recall for Tristian Dunkley.
