MANAGER Carl Heeley says winning the Worcestershire FA Senior Cup would cap a fine season for Worcester City.
Saturday’s 1-0 victory at Bradford Park Avenue ensured the Blue and Whites will finish in the Conference North top 10 with just the visit of relegation-threatened Colwyn Bay to come this weekend.
Tomorrow City go head-to-head with Aggborough landlords Kidderminster Harriers in the county cup final looking to build on that achievement.
Heeley said: “It’s difficult while we’re ground sharing and the financial constraints that come with that so we set ourselves a target as a bare minimum to retain our status.
“We’ve not only done that but we’ve finished in the top 10 and we can look back on a super cup run that brought a lot of money into the club.
“We have a cup final tomorrow and it would be nice to get some silverware. Then we can look forward to the break and look back on what would be a successful season.”
He added: “We have got one more league game. We want to win that and finish with 63 points.”
