KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have secured forward Gurjit Singh on a one-year deal after a brief spell at Aggborough late last season.

The 24-year-old trained with the club for the final months of 2014-15 while continuing to play his football at struggling Tipton Town in the Midland League Premier Division.

Singh scored 20 goals in 24 appearances for Smethwick Rangers in the first half of the West Midlands League Premier Division campaign before being snapped up by higher-ranked Tipton, where he netted 13 in 14 games.

"We've seen a lot of him now and know all about him," said manager Gary Whild. "He's another one who is a very exciting prospect and if he's able to catch the drift of full-time football, which isn't always easy, he's going to be one to really keep an eye on.

"He has a bit about him and has an eye for goal. He knows what this club is about and is excited to be involved."

Harriers have also agreed a deal to sign former Aggborough youth-teamer and Stourport Swifts player Jordan Jones on a contract for the new season.

The versatile youngster, who can play anywhere on the right side, has rounded off an impressive season at Redditch United in the Southern League Premier Division.
