ROD Brown has been hit with an injury crisis ahead of Bromsgrove Rovers' end-of-season run-in.

Captain Mark Taylor has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a broken arm in Monday's 1-0 victory over Stourbridge.

Striker Neil Davis is also out for the remainder of the campaign with a hamstring injury, midfielder Stuart Skidmore has cruciate ligament damage and Carl Heeley a knee injury.

In addition, Brown is also without assistant manager John Snape through suspension for Saturday's Southern League Division One Midlands trip to Aylesbury United (3pm).

The manager said: "Serious injuries have hit us all season and we've been incredibly unlucky to have so many players missing. This is a huge blow for us."

Brown does have options available for Saturday with players at other clubs who are registered for Rovers.

He could call on Richard Scott and David Bridgewater at Moor Green, Barry Woolley from Hinckley and Kidderminster striker Gary Hay.

Despite the injury setbacks, the Rovers boss is setting his sights on securing second place and taking the home advantage in the play-offs that comes with that.

Brown said: "Finishing second would be great. It's a shame we didn't give Brackley a bit of a run for their money. We are a good side on our day.

"I would think we haven't been consistent enough to say it's been a wasted opportunity. We haven't conceded a goal in the last three home performances so we would like to think it would be in our favour to get home advantage in the play-offs.

"We will get big crowds for the play-offs."
