GOLFER Ollie Farr is tied 79th after the opening round of his maiden US Open campaign at Chambers Bay in Washington.
The Worcester Golf and Country Club member carded three over par and is level with England duo Luke Donald and Lee Westwood after the first day.
Farr is joined by his dad Graham, who is the professional at Boughton Park and coaches his son, at the global event.
Sweden’s Henrik Stenson and American Dustin Johnson are joint leaders after the opening round after shooting five under for 65.
