ROSS Whiteley returns to the Worcestershire squad for the LV= County Championship Division One clash with relegation rivals Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge, beginning on Monday (11am).

The 26-year-old former Derbyshire all-rounder, who has made two Championship appearances so far this season, comes into contention as part of a 12-man party.

Worcestershire will have to make an enforced change from the side who collected 12 points from the drawn game with Middlesex at Uxbridge.

All-rounder Moeen Ali has ended his current spell of cricket with the County, which involved two Championship and six NatWest T20 Blast appearances, and linked up again with England as part of their Ashes training camp in Spain.

England under 19s prospects Joe Clarke and Ed Barnard retain their places in the Worcestershire squad.

The County start the second half of their Championship programme just outside of the bottom two by two points and 10 behind sixth-placed Sussex.

Off-form Nottinghamshire slipped to the foot of the table after their innings defeat by Yorkshire last week.
